Two Students of University of Sahiwal Granted Interim Bail in Fraud Case

Additional Sessions Judge Sahiwal has approved the pre-arrest interim bail of two students from the University of Sahiwal.
The judge granted interim bail to Muhammad Nouman Kathia and Yasir Hameed until July 15. Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Ashraf summoned the police record related to the case.
According to details, Muhammad Nouman Kathia and Yasir Hameed—students of the English Department at the University of Sahiwal collected semester fees from 43 students of the university.
Instead of depositing the collected fees into the university account, they embezzled the money and issued fake receipts to the students with forged stamps of Habib Bank.
The university discovered the fraud when it issued fee non-payment notices to 43 students.
On June 10, Civil Lines Police Station Sahiwal registered a case under sections 468, 420, and 471 on the complaint of Professor Hafiz Tariq Masood Parvez.
