Sahiwal: Matric Exams to Start March 27; Section 144 Imposed Around Centers

SAHIWAL (News Desk) – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sahiwal has released the schedule for the first annual Matriculation Examinations 2026. To ensure transparency and prevent any untoward incidents, the district administration has implemented strict security measures.

Examination Schedule and Arrangements

According to board officials, the examinations are set to officially begin on March 27 and will continue until May 8. A total of 74 examination centers have been established across the Sahiwal district to accommodate thousands of candidates appearing for the exams.

Enforcement of Section 144

Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq, has immediately imposed Section 144 around all examination centers to maintain law and order and curb cheating. Under this directive, the following restrictions are now in effect:

  • Restricted Entry: Only candidates with valid roll number slips and authorized exam staff are permitted within a 100-yard radius of the centers.

  • Ban on Gatherings: All forms of protests, processions, rallies, or public demonstrations near the centers are strictly prohibited.

  • Prohibited Items: Candidates are barred from bringing mobile phones, digital diaries, books, guides, solved papers, or any other unauthorized materials into the vicinity.

Guaranteeing Transparency

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized a zero-tolerance policy toward the use of unfair means. He clarified that any student, invigilator, or outsider found facilitating cheating will face rigorous legal action.
