SAHIWAL — The funeral prayers for the mother of Pir Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, were offered at Zafar Ali Stadium, Sahiwal. She passed away yesterday, leaving behind a legacy of respect and a grieving family.
The ceremony saw a massive turnout, with hundreds of people from all walks of life—including political leaders, administrative officials, and religious scholars—gathering to pay their final respects and offer condolences to the bereaved family.

The funeral was attended by a wide array of prominent figures, highlighting the high social and political standing of the family:
Political Leaders: Senior PML-N leader Captain (R) Safdar, along with Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) Malik Qasim Nadeem, Malik Muhammad Arshad, Pir Walayat Shah Khagga, and Naveed Aslam Khan Lodhi.
Administration: Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq and CEO of Sahiwal Waste Management Company Iftikhar Ali.
Business Community: Former Presidents of the Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce Sheikh Basharat Nadeem and Sohail Anjum Ansari, and President of the Petroleum Association Mian Naveed Malik.

Burial and Commemoration Services
Following the prayers in Sahiwal, the deceased was transported to her ancestral city, Kasur, where she was laid to rest in the local cemetery.
The family has announced the following schedule for prayers and remembrance:
Qul Prayers (Kasur): To be held tomorrow, Friday, after the Jumu’ah prayer.
Esal-e-Sawab (Sahiwal): A prayer session will be held on Sunday at 11:00 AM at their Sahiwal residence, “Hazoori Bagh.”
