Okara Police Return 87 Stolen Mobile Phones Worth Rs 7 Million to Owners

OKARA: Demonstrating exceptional performance during the month of December, the District Police Okara organized a special ceremony at the Community Liaison Center to return recovered stolen property to its rightful owners.
Through the effective use of the e-Gadget Monitoring App, the police successfully traced and recovered 87 high-value mobile phones with a total estimated market value exceeding Rs 7 million. The recovered devices were handed back to the citizens under the supervision of SP Investigation Malik Dawood.
Technology-Driven Success
The recovery was made possible by the digital integration of the e-Gadget app, which allows police to track stolen devices through IMEI registration. During the ceremony, citizens expressed their gratitude and relief, praising the Okara Police for their prompt action and the use of modern technology to safeguard public property.
“Our priority is to utilize every modern tool available to curb crime. The recovery of these phones is a testament to the hard work of our IT and investigation teams,” stated SP Investigation Malik Dawood.
The SP also lauded the performance of IT In-charge Noor Samand and his team for their technical expertise in tracking the devices. He reaffirmed that the Okara Police would continue its crackdown on criminals to ensure the safety of the citizens’ belongings.
