OKARA (News Desk): To ensure effective and high-quality investigation of murder cases, a specialized 7-day Homicide Investigation Course has been inaugurated in Okara. The training program is being conducted at the Ghayoor Hall, Tayyab Saeed Shaheed Police Lines, following the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Okara, Rashid Hidayat.
Comprehensive Training Modules
The capacity-building course is being held under the supervision of SP Investigation Malik Dawood. It aims to equip investigating officers with modern techniques and legal expertise. The curriculum includes:
Case File (Missal) Writing: Professional documentation and legal drafting.
Evidence Collection: Accurate recording and preservation of physical evidence from crime scenes.
Case Diary Maintenance: Ensuring transparency and legal accuracy in investigative records.
Forensic & Scientific Methods: Theoretical and practical training on forensic requirements and scientific investigation in murder cases.
Vision of DPO Okara
DPO Rashid Hidayat emphasized that well-trained officers are the backbone of a fair justice system.
“Only officers trained according to modern requirements can play a key role in providing justice and effectively curbing crime. Such courses will significantly improve the standard of investigation and help bring cases to their logical conclusion,” the DPO stated.
Objective of the Program
The primary goal of this initiative is to ensure merit, transparency, and the fulfillment of all legal requirements during the investigation of heinous crimes. By enhancing the skill sets of the district’s investigating officers, the Okara Police aims to improve conviction rates and strengthen the rule of law.
