Hair fall treatment with natural ingredients

Rapid hair fall and premature greying have become very common problems these days. By regularly following a few tried-and-tested traditional and natural remedies, noticeable improvement can be achieved.

1. Coconut Oil + Curry Leaves

Take half a cup of coconut oil and add 10–12 curry leaves to it. Heat the mixture lightly. Once it cools down, massage it into the scalp 2–3 times a week. This helps strengthen hair and reduce premature greying.

Coconut oil contains vitamin E and fatty acids (Lauric Acid). These nutrients nourish the hair roots, reduce dryness and breakage, and make hair thicker and stronger.

Curry leaves are rich in vitamin B, iron, and antioxidants. These components strengthen hair roots, help in melanin production (the natural pigment of hair), and prevent premature greying.

2. Amla (The Most Effective Remedy)

Amla can be used in two ways:

  • Massage 1 tablespoon amla powder mixed with coconut oil into the scalp, or
  • Drink 1–2 tablespoons of amla juice daily.

This helps reduce hair fall and restores the natural color of hair.

Amla is extremely rich in vitamin C and also contains iron and polyphenols. These nutrients promote collagen production (which strengthens hair), maintain hair color, and significantly reduce hair fall.

3. Onion Juice

Grind an onion and extract its juice. Apply it to the scalp for 30 minutes, twice a week, and then wash your hair. Onion juice helps stimulate new hair growth.

Onion contains sulfur, biotin, and folate, which improve blood circulation to the scalp, promote new hair growth, and prevent hair breakage.

4. Henna + Yogurt + Amla

Mix 2 tablespoons henna, 3 tablespoons yogurt, and 1 tablespoon amla powder. Apply the mixture for one hour and then wash it off. This works as a natural conditioner for grey hair.

Henna contains lawsone (a natural dye) and antifungal properties. It provides a natural color to grey hair, strengthens hair, and protects against dandruff and infections.

Yogurt contains vitamin B5, protein, and zinc, which moisturize the scalp, make hair soft and shiny, and reduce hair fall.

5. Kalonji (Black Seed)

Take half a teaspoon of kalonji daily with water, or apply kalonji oil to the scalp. This strengthens hair roots.

Kalonji contains thymoquinone, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and zinc, which strengthen hair roots, improve hormonal balance, and play an important role in natural hair growth.

6. Pay Special Attention to Diet

Consume more eggs, lentils, milk, spinach, leafy greens, walnuts, and almonds. Reduce the intake of tea and fast food.

Eggs are rich in protein, biotin, and vitamin D, which help produce new hair, strengthen weak hair, and prevent hair fall.

7. Stress and Vitamins

Due to stress, levels of vitamin B12, zinc, and iron decrease in the body, leading to rapid hair fall and premature greying. If vitamin B12, iron, or zinc levels are severely low, oil treatments alone are not sufficient, and a blood test becomes necessary.

Final Note

Traditional remedies take at least 2–3 months to show results. Patience and consistency are essential to prevent hair fall and restore hair health.
