Sahiwal: Grand Operation Against Illegal Housing Societies; 3 Offices Sealed

SAHIWAL – Following the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq, the District Council has launched a massive crackdown against illegal housing schemes across the district. During the grand operation, offices of three illegal colonies were sealed, and unauthorized constructions were razed using heavy machinery.

Operation Details

The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of Chief Officer District Council Khudadad Tarar and District Officer Planning Javed Anwar Gondal. The crackdown targeted specific locations including Mohammad Pur Road and 90/6-R Road.

The targeted schemes included:

  • Arooj Garden

  • Al-Haram Garden

  • Canal City

District Council teams arrived at the sites to seal the site offices and demolish illegally constructed roads, boundary walls, and other infrastructure. The administration has imposed a complete ban on any further construction activities at these sites.

Administration’s Stance and Warning

A spokesperson for the district administration stated that indiscriminate action will continue against all housing societies established without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or those operating in violation of established rules and regulations.

“The general public is strongly advised to verify the legal status of any housing scheme with the relevant authorities (District Council or Municipal Corporation) before investing their hard-earned money.”

Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq reaffirmed his commitment to protecting citizens from fraudulent schemes. He emphasized the following points:

  • Public Protection: Protecting citizens from fraud and illegal projects remains a top priority.

  • Zero Tolerance: A strict zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against elements violating the law.

  • Continued Action: The crackdown against the land mafia and illegal constructions will continue throughout the district without exception.
