Teenager in Critical Condition Following Alleged Gang Rape in Sahiwal

SAHIWAL (SahiwalNews.com) A 14-year-old girl remains hospitalised in critical condition after she was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by multiple assailants in village 82/6-R , Sahiwal on Monday night.

According to police and hospital sources, the minor, identified only as ‘S’, had gone to a local tandoor shop to buy bread when she was reportedly kidnapped by a man and a woman. The pair allegedly transported her via motorcycle to a nearby house where two other men were present.

At the location, the teenager was reportedly sexually assaulted by the three men. She was later found unconscious on a village street, where locals alerted her family and authorities.

Upon receiving the report, the Fateh Sher Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against four accused individuals on the complaint of the victim’s mother. Senior police officials confirmed that three of the nominated suspects have been apprehended, while a manhunt is underway for the remaining accused. An investigation has been launched.

“The girl’s condition is currently unstable,” said a police spokesperson. “A medical examination will be conducted once doctors confirm she is physically able to undergo the procedure.”

The victim remains under treatment at Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, where medical staff describe her condition as serious.

Community leaders and local authorities have condemned the incident, calling for a swift and thorough investigation to ensure justice is served. The case has highlighted ongoing concerns about women’s safety and the enforcement of legal protections for minors in the region.
