DEPALPUR (News Desk) – The official results for the annual elections of the Tehsil Bar Association Depalpur for the year 2026-2027 have been finalized. After a day of active polling, the Election Board announced the successful candidates for the new cabinet.
Presidential Results
In a significant contest for the Presidency, Mian Muhammad Ahmed Advocate High Court emerged victorious by securing 601 votes. He successfully defeated his main challengers, Mian Khadim Hussain, who received 559 votes, and M. Akhtar Qureshi, who polled 82 votes.
Key Cabinet Appointments
The election also saw decisive results for other major administrative roles:
Vice President: Malik Asad Ali Phoolrowan Advocate High Court secured a landslide victory with 770 votes, defeating Ch. Muhammad Hussain Arain (447 votes) and Muhammad Saleem Shah (18 votes).
General Secretary: Muhammad Adeel Sadiq Advocate High Court was elected after receiving 679 votes, winning against Mian Kaleem Ullah Wattoo, who secured 565 votes.
Joint Secretary: Chaudhry Waheed Hassan Wahla Advocate was elected unopposed, as no other candidates contested the seat.
Voter Turnout and Formalities
Out of a total of 1,245 registered voters, the majority participated in the democratic process to elect their representatives for the upcoming term. The Election Board, led by Chairman Peer Bakhtiar Fareed Chishti Advocate, formally notified the winners following the completion of the count.
The legal community of Depalpur welcomed the new leadership with celebrations, expressing hope that the newly elected cabinet will work tirelessly for the welfare of lawyers and the upholding of judicial integrity in the region.
