Civil Services Academy Lahore Delegation Visits Harappa Archaeological Museum

A delegation from the Civil Services Academy Lahore conducted a detailed visit to the Harappa Archaeological Museum. This visit was organized on the special instructions of the Director General of Archaeology.

Assistant Commissioner Sahiwal, Maham Waheed, also accompanied the delegation during the visit. The curator of the Harappa Museum, Ahmed Nawaz Tipu, gave the delegation a warm welcome.

During the visit, the curator briefed the delegation comprehensively on the history of the ancient and great Indus Valley Civilization, its social, economic, and urban systems, and the globally recognized significance of Harappa. He explained that the Harappan Civilization was unparalleled in terms of urban planning, advanced sanitation systems, brick construction, and well-organized trade structures.

The delegation also closely examined the rare artifacts preserved in the museum, including pottery, seals, jewelry, tools, and other historical objects that reflect the peak and lifestyle of this ancient civilization.

On this occasion, curator Ahmed Nawaz Tipu also informed the delegation about the ongoing initiatives and projects of the Directorate General of Archaeology for the preservation, restoration, and maintenance of archaeological heritage, aimed at safeguarding these valuable historical assets for future generations.

Members of the delegation appreciated the arrangements at the Harappa Museum and the archaeological site, the informative presentation, and the security measures, describing them as a commendable effort toward the preservation of the nation’s historical heritage.
