Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Captain (R) Usama Majeed Cheema chaired a meeting of the District Welfare and Rehabilitation Unit.
The committee approved the received cases to provide assistive devices to persons with disabilities.
Deputy Director Social Welfare Muhammad Abbas, Dr. Mujtaba Jamal, and officers from relevant departments attended the meeting and gave suggestions to facilitate deserving individuals.
On this occasion, Captain (R) Usama Majeed Cheema made it clear that the government aims to empower all individuals who face challenges due to physical disabilities and integrate them as productive members of society.
The committee decided to provide wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, and other essential facilities to those who genuinely deserve the support.
Captain (R) Usama Majeed Cheema stated that no one’s disability should hinder their abilities, and the government is using all available resources to achieve this goal.
Along with approving the cases, the participants also discussed the future plan of action to include more individuals in this assistance program.
